Anti-inflammatory Effects of Medical Edible Fungus Pearl Fermentation Broths on LPS-Induced Damage to HaCaT Cells
Due to its excellent health benefits, pearls are included in the list of herbs that can be used in health food.Lactic acid bacteria or yeasts mediated pearls fermentation has taken its place in the field of medicinal and cosmetic pearls, but few have applied medicinal fungi to the further processing and utilization of pearls. For this purpose, two medicinal edible fungi of Fomes fomentarius(FF)and Phellinus baumii(PB),were selected to prepare fermentation broths of pearl, respectively.Based on the analysis of their composition, the potential anti-inflammatory capacities of fermentation broths were investigated using lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced HaCaT cells.FF and PB fermentation broths at low concentrations showed cell proliferation effects.Compared with the model group, the fermentation broth of the two strains could significantly reduce the content of inflammatory factors to a certain extent, and the addition of pearl powder could more effectively reduce the secretion of inflammatory indicators, which had anti-inflammatory effect.Among them,FF pearl fermentation solution had better effect on reducing the contents of IL-8,IL-1β and KLK7.The transdermal absorption efficiency of fermentation broths was subsequently analyzed and determined.Transdermal absorption tests showed better transdermal absorption of PB pearl fermentation broth, which indicated better absorption into the skin.It can be seen that the preparation of pearl fermentation liquid by the medicinal and edible fungi Fomes fomentarius(FF)and Phellinus baumii(PB)can better exert its anti-inflammatory effect This project broadens the range of pearl fermentation strains, provides a certain theoretical basis and data support for the deep processing and utilization of pearls, and has good application value.
