Teaching Reform of the Course Principles of Biotechnology under the Background of Engineering Education Accreditation
With the widespread promotion of engineering education accreditation,more comprehensive,higher-level,and higher quality requirements have been put forward for Chinese universities to cultivate engineering talents.Based on the construction and characteristics of the Principles of Biotechnology course,and in line with the requirements of the curriculum reform for engineering education accreditation,it is found that the Principles of Biotechnology course has problems such as vague course objectives,slow updating of course content,single teaching methods,imbalanced integration of course subjects,and outdated course evaluation mechanisms.Based on the specific needs of the country,society,and students for the teaching of the course Principles of Biotechnology,formulate methods for curriculum teaching reform,explore teaching models from the aspects of course objectives,teaching content,teaching modes,assessment methods,and practical teaching,and cultivate composite talents with innovative and practical abilities that adapt to social development.
