Implications of Risk Communication of Transgenic Technology among College Students——A Case Study of Dali University
Transgenic technology is very important for ensuring food security,ecological security and realizing sustainable agricultural development.In recent years,with the rapid development of global transgenic technology,the industrialization of transgenic technology in China has been accelerating.The public's knowledge of genetically modified(GM)technology and their attitude towards GM food will affect the speed of its industrialization development.Therefore,it is an urgent task to explore effective ways of GM risk communication and to improve the efficiency of risk communication.This paper analyzes college students'knowledge,belief and practice of GM food and their participation in GM science popularization through a survey questionnaire.Based on the survey and the current situation of GM risk communication,some suggestions are put forward on the ways,carriers and contents of college students'GM risk communication,Moreover,college students are encouraged to actively participate in the science popularization work.
