Study on Adsorption Equilibrium and Kinetics of Nuclear Fast Red in Module Dye Wastewater on Zr(Ⅳ)-Loaded Sugarbeet Pulp
The adsorption properties of nuclear red on Zr(Ⅳ)-loaded sugar beet pulp(ZrBSBP)were studied. The effects of pH,adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, soaking time and temperature on the dye-adsorbing process were investigated, and the kinetics and the equilibrium of equilibrium were analyzed. The results showed that the optimum adsorption conditions were pH 7.0,adsorbent dosage of 0.6 g,dye concentration of 100 mg/L,adsorption time of 60 min,and adsorption temperature of 25 ℃.Under the optimum conditions, the adsorption capacity of dyes was 33.3 g dye/g ZrBSBP.The Langmuir equation could well describe the adsorption behavior of nuclear fast red on ZrBSBP.The adsorption process was mainly monolayer and endothermic. The kinetic process of adsorption conformed to the second order adsorption model of Lagergren equation. The results and conclusions could provide ideas and methods for the utilization of sugar beet pulp as a resource.
