Exploration and Practice of the"Modular+Thematic"Teaching Model——Taking the Course of"Food Microbiology"as an Example
Based on the characteristics of the course"Food Microbiology"and the analysis of students'learning situation,several teaching pain points and difficulties are summarized,and a targeted"modular+thematic"teaching mode is proposed to alleviate the teaching pain points of the course and improve classroom teaching effectiveness,so that students can truly love learning this course and be able to apply what they have learned.After two semesters of practical application,the teaching effects before and after implementing this teaching model are compared in terms of student benefits,teacher improvement,and promotion and application.The practical results show that students'course grades have significantly improved(with an increase in excellence rate and a decrease in failure rate);Students actively participate in research and practical projects related to the curriculum,with excellent completion rates;The student evaluation scores of teachers are on the rise and have received unanimous praise from students;The teaching model that has achieved good teaching results will also be applied to other professional courses and sister colleges,and will also achieve better results.
