Extraction,Structure and Biological Activity of Polysaccharides from Different Parts of Ginkgo biloba:A Review
The main components of Ginkgo biloba are leaves,seed coats and fruits.The main edible and medicinal parts are leaves and fruits.As one of the medicinal and edible plants,Ginkgo biloba has rich edible and medicinal value.Polysaccharide,as one of the important components in different parts of Ginkgo biloba,is a kind of pure natural polysaccharide.It has many biological activities such as anti-aging,immune regulation,anti-cancer,anti-oxidation and hypoglycemic.It has broad development prospects in the field of functional health food and medical supplies in the future.In this paper,the extraction and purification methods,structure,biological activity and the relationship between structural characteristics and biological activity of polysaccharides in different parts of Ginkgo biloba(Ginkgo biloba leaves,Ginkgo biloba seed coat,Ginkgo biloba fruit)were systematically described.The problems to be solved and the future development direction of polysaccharides in different parts of Ginkgo biloba were summarized in order to provide theoretical reference for the comprehensive utilization of polysaccharides in different parts of Ginkgo biloba.
