Eight kinds of trace elements Na, Cu, Zn, Fe, Pb, Sr, Mn, Ca in oyster and its viscera have been continuous determined by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy. The effect of different digestion methods on the analysis results was reviewed. The correctness of the method was contrasted and verified by the recovery test. The results showed that microwave digestion process was more appropriate than dry and wet digestion process. The recovery of standard addition of samples were between 96.89 % and 104.33%, relative standard deviation(RSD)< 3.04 %. There are abundant trace elements including Na, Cu, Zn, Fe, Sr, Mn, Ca in oysters, specifically the contents of Cu, Zn were higher. The contents of Na, Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn in the viscera were higher than intact oyster and the contents of Sr, Ca were less than intact oyster. Pb was not detected in intact oyster and its viscera.
