Synergistic Effect of Rosa roxburghii Tratt and Lactic Acid Bacteria on Acute Intoxication in Mice
To investigate the alcohol detoxification function of the dichotomous lactic acid bacteria(Pediococ-cus acidilactici LTJ28 and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum LTJ30)and the synergistic effect of Rosa roxburghii Tratt on this function,55 Kunming mice were randomly divided into the normal group, model group,silyma-rin group, lactic acid bacteria group, and Rosa roxburghii Tratt+lactic acid bacteria group. The model of acute intoxication was constructed 1 h after sample intervention. The results showed that compared with the model group, the silymarin group, lactic acid bacteria group, and Rosa roxburghii Tratt+lactic acid bacteria group had a prolonged latency to intoxication,a shorter sleep time,a significant decrease in blood ethanol con-centration,alanine aminotransferase activity, aspartate aminotransferase activity, and alkaline phosphatase activity, and a significant increase in glutathione, superoxide dismutase activity, and nitric oxide concentra-tion.The levels of ethanol dehydrogenase and acetaldehyde dehydrogenase in the liver were significantly in-creased,and the levels of malondialdehyde,interleukin-6,and interleukin-1β were significantly reduced;the degree of organ tissue lesions was reduced, and liver vacuolar degeneration, gastric mucosal epithelial cell deletion, and colonic submucosal oedema were significantly reduced.Compared with the lactic acid bacteria group, the effect in all aspects of the Rosa roxburghii Tratt+lactic acid bacteria group was more significant. In conclusion, the dichotomous lactic acid bacteria had the efficacy of anti-drunkenness and pro-wakefulness,promotion of ethanol metabolism, and protection against acute intoxication-induced liver injury, which could be synergistically enhanced by Rosa roxburghii Tratt.
