Analysis of the application value of combined detection of serum tumor markers in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer
Objective To investigate the efficacy and application value of combined tests of serum CEA,CA125,CA199,CA50 and CA242 in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 68 patients with colorectal cancer who were pathologically diagnosed in Zhenping County People's Hospital from February 1,2022 to February 28,2023 were selected as the colorectal cancer group, and 50 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the healthy group.Serum tumor markers CEA,CA50,CA125,CA199 and CA242 were tested and the results were analyzed. Results CEA level in colorectal cancer group was(42.50±12.35)μg/L,higher than that in healthy group(2.21±0.98)μg/L,t=22.989,P<0.001;The level of CA50 was(61.11±6.32)μg/L,higher than that of healthy group(8.37±3.59)μg/L,t=53.016,P<0.001;The level of CA125 was(34.86±8.15)U/mL,higher than that of healthy group(4.21±1.87)U/mL,t=26.065,P<0.001;The level of CA199 was(44.64±9.16)U/mL,higher than that of healthy group(4.71±1.08)U/mL,t=30.633,P<0.001;The level of CA242 was(39.24±8.64)U/mL,higher than that of the healthy group(6.23±1.83)U/mL,t=26.552,P<0.001.The area under the curve of the combined test of serum tumor markers was 0.942,which was higher than that of the single test of CEA(0.778),CA50(0.807),CA125(0.738),CA199(0.774)and CA242(0.810).The CEA level in patients with lymphatic metas-tasis of colorectal cancer was(51.21±10.87)μg/L,higher than that in patients without metastasis(25.40±8.49)μg/L,t=10.984,P<0.001;CA50 level was(73.54±20.09)μg/L,higher than that of patients without metastasis(47.67±14.30)μg/L,t=6.208,P<0.001;CA125 level was(39.20±8.44)U/mL,higher than that of patients with-out metastasis(18.38±4.31)U/mL,t=13.340,P<0.001;The level of CA199 was(46.37±10.23)U/mL,higher than that of patients without metastasis(25.66±5.51)U/mL,t=19.831,P<0.001;The level of CA242 was(49.43 ±11.04)U/mL,higher than that of patients without metastasis(24.95±8.15)U/mL,t=10.525,P<0.001.The lev-els of serum tumor markers in colorectal cancer patients at T4 stage were higher than those in T3 stage and T1-T2 stage, and the differences were statistically significant, all P<0.05.Conclusion Combined detection of serum tumor markers can improve the diagnostic accuracy of colorectal cancer and assist in judging the TNM staging of tumors, which is condu-cive to early detection, diagnosis and intervention of colorectal cancer.
