Analysis of the effect of Kangfuxin liquid enema on patients with acute radiation proctitis
Objective To study the effects of Kangfuxin liquid enema on the damage grade and inflammation level of rectal mucosa and the antioxidant activity of intestinal mucosa cells in patients with acute radiation proctitis.Methods A total of 106 patients with acute radiation rectitis in Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Zhengzhou University were randomly divided into control group(n=53)and observation group(n=53).The control group was given traditional Western medicine re-tention enema,and the observation group was given Kangfuxin liquid enema.Before treatment and 2 weeks after treat-ment,we evaluated and compared the grade of radiation proctitis mucosa injury in 2 groups.Before treatment and 2 weeks after treatment,the fasting venous blood of 2 groups in the morning was collected,and detected by enzyme-linked immu-nosorbent assay to compare gamma-interferon(IFN-γ),Interleukin-2(IL-2)and Interleukin-10(interleukin-10).IL-10 levels;Before and after 2 weeks of treatment,the fasting venous blood of 2 groups was collected in the morning,and the levels of Malondialdehyde(MDA)and Superoxide dismutase(SOD)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent as-say(ELISA).The occurrence of adverse reactions was recorded and compared between the two groups.SPSS23.0 was used to analyze the data,the counting data was represented by n(%),and the difference was tested by x2 test.Rank sum test was used for rank data,(x)±s was used for measurement data,and univariate covariance analysis was used for data a-nalysis.Test level α=0.05(two-tailed).Results After treatment,the grade of radiation proctitis mucosa injury in the observation group(21 cases of grade 0,20 cases of grade 1,10 cases of grade 2,2 cases of grade 3)was lower than that in the control group(10 cases of grade 0,23 cases of grade 1,12 cases of grade 2,8 cases of grade 3),the difference was statistically significant Z=2.540,P=0.011.The IL-2(22.13±2.36)ng/mL level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(26.54±2.16)ng/mL after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant F=10.035,P<0.001;After treatment,the IFN-γ(27.34±2.37)ng/mL level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(31.11±2.24)ng/mL,with statistical significance F=8.416,P<0.001;The IL-10(24.64± 2.46)ng/mL level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(22.43±2.76)ng/mL after treat-ment,and the difference was statistically significant F=4.352,P<0.001;The SOD(61.43±4.55)U/mL level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(51.23±4.24)U/mL after treatment,with statistical signif-icance F=11.940,P<0.001;After treatment,the level of MDA(6.34±1.76)nmol/mL in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(10.09±2.124)nmol/mL,with statistical significance F=9.908,P<0.001;No obvious adverse reactions occurred in both groups during treatment.Conclusion Kangfuxin liquid enema has a definite effect on patients with acute radiation proctitis,which can effectively reduce the damage grade and inflammation level of radiation enteritis mucosa,improve the antioxidant effect of intestinal mucosa cells,and has high safety.
