Value of feedforward control-based all-round nursing intervention in patients with laryngeal carcinoma undergoing radical operation
Objective To explore the effects of feedforward control-based comprehensive nursing intervention on swallo-wing function,post-traumatic growth level, mental state, complications and quality of life in patients undergoing radical laryngeal cancer surgery. Methods A total of 78 patients with laryngeal carcinoma underwent radical operation in Nan-yang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 1,2020 to March 31,2022 were selected and divided into conventional intervention group and feedforward control intervention group according to random number table method, with 39 cases in each group. The conventional intervention group received routine nursing intervention, and the feedfor-ward control intervention group received feedforward control based all-round nursing intervention on the basis of the con-ventional intervention group. After 3 months of intervention,M.D.Anderson dysphagia inventory(MDADI)was used to evaluate swallowing function,post-traumatic growth scale(PTGI)was used to evaluate post-traumatic growth level, brief illness perception questionnaire(BIPQ)was used to evaluate the disease perception,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)was used to evaluate the mental state,European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire(EORTC-QLQ)was used to evaluate the quality of life, complications were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of intervention, the MDADI score and PTGI score in the feedforward control interven-tion group were(63.59±7.25)points and(73.85±8.39)points,respectively,which were higher than those in the con-ventional intervention group(57.41±6.13)points and(62.46±7.43)points,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant,F values were 9.984 and 21.937,all P<0.001;the BIPQ score,HAMD-17 score and EORTC-QLQ score in the feedforward control intervention group were(48.05±4.32)points,(12.64±2.56)points and(46.33±5.58)points,respectively,which were lower than those in conventional intervention group(51.36±4.58)points,(17.67± 2.88)points and(53.41±5.64)points,the differences were statistically significant,F values were 5.317,33.862 and 16.137,and P values were 0.007,<0.001 and<0.001,respectively.The complication rate of the feedforward control intervention group(5.13%)was significantly lower than that of conventional intervention group(23.08%),the differ-ence was statistically significant,x2=5.183,P=0.023.Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention based on feed-forward control can improve the disease perception and negative psychological state, improve swallowing function,in-crease the level of post-traumatic growth, reduce the occurrence of complications, and help improve the quality of life of patients after radical laryngotomy.
