Meta analysis of genital Chlamydia trachomatis infection in HIV positive individuals in China
Objective To systematically evaluate the infection status of genital Chlamydia trachomatis(GCT)among HIV-infected population in China, and to provide baseline data and scientific evidence-based basis for health departments to car-ry out prevention and control work. Methods The cross-sectional studies involving GCT infection in HIV-infected popula-tion were searched from PubMed,Embase,CKNI,SinoMed and Wanfang databases from the establishment of the database to April 30,2023.The quality of included studies was evaluated according to AHRQ scoring criteria, and Meta-analysis was performed using R4.2.1.Results A total of 12 studies were included in this study, the publication time span of the included literature was 2010-2022,and the research time span was 2005-2021,with a total of 2610 HIV-infected pepole. The results of meta-analysis showed that the GCT infection rate in HIV-infected population was 7.51%(95%CI:3.54%-12.68%),which was relatively high..The infection rate of multiple site sampling specimens[24.56%(20.81-28.51)was higher than that of swabs[10.84%(7.69-14.43)]and urine[3.12%(1.20-5.81)],both P<0.001;The popula-tion of men who have sex with men(MSM)was higher than other populations, the survey year after 2015 was higher than the survey year before 2015,and the South China region was higher than the Central China region,North China region,Southwest region,East China region, and Northeast region. Conclusions The infection rate of GCT is high among HIV-in-fected population. In the future, taking into account both HIV and GCT,the corresponding screening strategies were devel-oped according to the economic development level, health resource conditions and population characteristics in different re-gions.
