Research status and hot topic analysis of postoperative infection after fracture surgery in China
Objective To visually analyze the literature on postoperative infection of fractures in China by bibliometrics, and to discuss the current research status, hot spots and development trend in this field. Methods A literature search was conducted on CNKI,Wanfang and VIP databases for the main topics of"fracture"and"postoperative infection",and all relevant literature from January 1,2003 to December 31,2022 were retrieved.NoteExpress software was used to merge and remove duplication, and journals, authors, institutions and keywords were extracted, and statistical analysis was per-formed using CiteSpace 6.2.R3 software. Results A total of 2 964 literatures were retrieved. The number of publica-tions grew slowly from 2003 to 2010,began to grow rapidly in 2011,peaked in 2018 with 153 articles, and slightly de-clined in 2019.Publications from 2011 to 2023 accounted for 80.97%of the total. The literature was mainly published in professional journals such as Chinese Journal of Nosocomial Infection,Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint Injury, and World Latest Medical Information Digest. From the point of view of the number of authors, the most published author was Yang Zuoming of the Orthopedic Hospital affiliated to Hebei United University. The most published institutions were the Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhengzhou Orthopaedic Hospital.Key-word visualization analysis, cluster analysis, and burst analysis results showed that the main research hotspot for domes-tic postoperative fracture infection from 2003 to 2010 was postoperative infection after internal fixation of fractures. The main research trend was the risk factors and clinical treatment effect of infection after fracture surgery. Conclusions The research on postoperative infection after fracture in China has gradually deepened, and the number of publications has been increasing, mainly focusing on clinical studies, while the in-depth research on related mechanisms is relatively few.The a-nalysis of risk factors may be the focus of research in this field in the future.
