Clinical analysis of Yuye decoction based Chinese prescription for the treatment of senile diabetes mellitus with deficiency of Qi and Yin
Objective To observe and discuss the effect of Yuye decoction,a traditional Chinese medicine prescription,in the treatment of elderly diabetic patients with Qi-Yin deficiency.Methods A total of 88 elderly diabetic patients with Qi-yin deficiency treated in the Third People's Hospital of Linyi City from August 1,2021,to August 1,2023 were selected as the study objects and were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table,with 44 cases in each group.The control group was treated with metformin,0.5g/time,twice a day,the observation group was treated with Yuye decoction combined with metformin hydrochloride tablets,both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The total effective rate,fasting insulin(FINS),fasting blood glucose(FPG),interleukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-6(IL-6)and adverse reactions of two groups were observed before and after treatment.The measurement data were expressed asX±S,the rate was expressed by n(%),and x2 test was adopted.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(87.4%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(63.6%)(P=0.043).Univariate co-variance analysis showed that the F values of FINS,FPG,IL-8 and IL-6 in two groups were 33.432,24.893,26.066 and 44.681,respec-tively after treatment,(P<0.001).There were significant statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.001).There was no statistical difference between the observation group(20.45%)and the control group(29.55%)in terms of adverse effects such as loss of appetite,nausea and vomiting,abdominal discomfort,fatigue and dizziness(P=0.900).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine based on Yuye Decoction is effective in treating elderly diabetic patients with Qi-yin deficiency,reducing blood sugar level and improving micro-inflammation in elderly patients with diabetes.
