A visual analysis of bibliometrics and hotspots in the field of geriatric health checkups
Objective This study aims to visualize and analyze the current status,hot spots,and trends of research in the field of health checkups for the elderly in China,and provide valuable background information for future researchers.Methods The literature records related to the field of elderly health examination published by Chinese scholars in CNKI and WOS databases were retrieved,with the retrieval time limits being from the database establishment to 2023-04-10.Utilizing CiteSpace 6.2,author and institutional cooperation networks,and keyword clustering diagrams were generated to explore the research trends and frontiers in the field of elderly health examinations in China.Results A total of 172 ar-ticles in Chinese and 254 articles in English were included.The Graduate School of North China University of Science and Technology(10 articles)and Peking University(18 articles)are the institutions with the highest publication volume of domestic and foreign journals,respectively.The number of research articles in the field of geriatric health checkups has been increasing.Keyword analysis revealed that the research focus in the field of elderly health checkups is shifting from simple checkups to comprehensive health management,with an emphasis on both physical and mental regulation.Uric acid and type 2 diabetes have continued to receive attention and may become key research directions in the future.Conclu-sion The field of elderly health checkups in China is experiencing rapid development,and future researchers should focus on whole-process health management,strengthen inter-institutional cooperation,and contribute higher-quality and more influential research to achieve healthy aging.
