By constructing the evaluation index system of biomedical industry competitiveness and using the principal component analysis method,an empirical study was conducted on the competitiveness of biomedical indus-try in various provinces and autonomous regions in the past ten years,and it was concluded that the competitiveness of biomedical industry in Yunnan Province was in the middle and lower reaches of the whole country,and there was a big gap between Yunnan Province and the top provinces.After that,the paper analyzes the causes of the gap,and puts forward suggestions such as focusing on cultivating leading enterprises,strengthening enterprise cooperation,doing a good job in personnel training,and improving the construction of supporting facilities.
