On the Reform Path of College English Teaching under the Background of New Liberal Arts
In recent years,the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China has clearly put forward the construction goal of comprehensively promoting"New Engineering,New Medicine,New Agricultural Science and New Liberal Arts"in colleges and universities,which has set a new direction for students'cultivation.In the face of the new requirements of college English teaching under the background of New Liberal Arts,this paper ana-lyzes the current situation of college English teaching and discusses the problems existing in college English in terms of curriculum orientation,curriculum system construction,modern application,and teaching staff.Based on this,college English teaching should give full play to the role of information technology,inter-discipline,and innovative thinking in the reform of college English teaching from the aspects of teaching goal setting,curriculum reform,teaching technology application and teaching staff construction.
