A Survey on the Refereeing Level of College Physical Education Teachers
A survey of 225 college physical education teachers who have served as track and field referees in eight provinces,including Henan,Shandong,and Guangdong,revealed the following statistical results:the majori-ty of college physical education teachers serving as track and field referees are middle-aged and young teachers.The number of international and national-level referees is relatively small,and they tend to be older,have a lower level of English proficiency,and average computer skills.Their refereeing level is relatively low,and they have limited op-portunities for regular training.A high percentage of teachers expressed satisfaction with their organizational and management abilities,as well as their observation and judgment skills.Satisfaction with flexibility and language ex-pression abilities was moderate.A high percentage also expressed satisfaction with their ability to independently perform refereeing tasks.College physical education teachers'evaluations of their overall refereeing level are rela-tively objective,which is conducive to their sustainable development and the healthy development of track and field sports.
