陆九渊继承孟子的"性善说",认为人之本心"无有不善",但受到气禀与习俗的影响,往往有所蔽溺,故人不可能无"过".陆九渊还从能否"遽免"的工夫论角度对"恶"与"过"进行了区分,强调"恶"关乎立志之大端,"过"存乎日常践履,有过不改,便容易积"过"成"恶".陆九渊认为人有等差,指出小人之过在于"物欲",俗人之过在于"自弃",学者之过在于"私意",其改过工夫思想基本都是针对"学者之过".陆九渊主张人之改过必须"宽猛相济",先"责己"再"责善",体现出其改过工夫"自立"与"自克"的正反两种进路,二者既有主、从之别,又相辅相成、不可或缺.
On Lu Jiuyuan's Thought of Correcting Faults
Lu Jiuyuan inherited Mencius's theory of"goodness of human nature"and believed that human's heart is"good",but that,due to the influence of temperament and customs,it is often covered and drowned,so people can not be"faultless".He also distinguished"evil"from"fault"from the perspective of the theory of"rapid avoidance",emphasizing that"evil"is related to people's determination,and"fault"is in daily practice.It is easy to accumulate"fault"into"evil"without change.Lu Jiuyuan believed that people have equal differences,and pointed out that the fault of the little man lies in"material desire",the fault of the vulgar man lies in"self-abandonment",and the fault of the scholar lies in"selfishness".His"correcting fault"efforts are basically aimed at"schola'rs fault".Lu Jiuyuan ad-vocated that the"correcting fault"of human beings must be"calm and fierce",that is,"blame oneself"first and then"blame goodness",which reflects the positive and negative approaches of"self-reliance"and"self-restraint".The two are not only different in importance from each other,but also complementary and indispensable to each other.
