Xin Qiji constructed a spiritual home in his rural Ci poems,permeated with a strong subjective idealistic col-or.This embodiment of the poe'ts"Tao Yuan Complex"served as a sanctuary to ease his disillusioned heart.Xin's em-phasis on agriculture carries a clear realistic purpose,which seems discordant with the subjective idealism of his rural Ci poems,suggesting no fundamental connection between the two.The portrayal of people's hardships neither aligns with the creation of rural Ci poems nor with the genr'es institutional features,and thus should not be considered a flaw in Xin's Ci poems.According to this paper,Xin's rural Ci poems can be divided into two distinct periods:Dai Hu Lake and Piao Quan,each exhibiting unique stage characteristics.Under the harsh realities of life,Xin's spiritual home was gradually eroded and ultimately destroyed.By delving into the inner meanings of Xin's rural Ci poems,people can gain insight into the shifting state of his mind during his years of seclusion.
