Reflections on the Quality and Balanced Development of Compulsory Education from the Perspective of the Multiple Justice Theory
The focus of the current basic education reform is to realize the quality and balanced development of compul-sory education,which is based on the core value of fairness and justice.The positive components of multiple educa-tional justice theories in contemporary Western political philosophy can provide a comprehensive perspective on the quality and balanced development of Chinese compulsory education.John Rawls asserts that the distribution of educa-tional resources should contribute to the improvement of the situation of the most disadvantaged.Amartya Sen propo-ses that the purpose of educational development should promote human viability and expand human choice.Alice M.Young proposes justice of difference,respecting the claims of differentiated groups.These three views of justice all from a particular perspective for picture provides some reference significance for a mirror image of the quality and bal-anced development of compulsory education.As a result,going from single justice to compound justice is the theoreti-cal logical progression of the quality and balanced development of compulsory education,from equality of opportunity to equality of result is the policy logical progression of the quality and balanced development of compulsory education,and from distributive justice to differential justice is the realization logical path of the quality and balanced develop-ment of compulsory education.
