On the Construction of Literary Geography in Western Marxism:Focusing on Brecht
The current spatial critical study of literary geography is oriented in positivism, neglecting the study of"literariness"and space itself.Berthold Brecht,a modern German playwright from Western Marxism,re-emphasizes the instrumental and educational nature of literary art and puts forward the theoretical insight and artistic requirement of"dissociation",which inspires literary geography criticism to realize the effective maintenance of spatial relations on the basis of textual research and historical materialistic resetting,to pay attention to its critical and reflective logic,so as to construct spatial cognition and aesthetic thoughts with the advantages and characteristics of literary geography discipline.
