Research Focus and Development Trends of Ideological and Political Education in Foreign Language Curricula--A Visual Analysis Based on the Core Journal of Peking University and CSSCI Source Journals(2018-2023)
The paper takes a visual analysis of 257 articles on the research of ideological and political education in China's foreign language curriculum,collected from the CSSCI and Peking University core journals from 2018 to 2023 by using CiteSpace 6.2 R6 software.With various methods such as keyword frequency statistics,intermediary centrality analysis,clustering analysis,and timeline analysis,a dynamic knowledge map is generated to systematically sort out the hotspots,trends,and evolution of ideological and political education in China's foreign language curriculum,aiming to reveal the current status of the research comprehensively.It was found that the evolutionary process of ideological and political education in foreign language curriculum research can be divided into three periods:initial exploration,rapid development,and connotative development,showing continuous innovation and concern in the areas of moral education,instructional design,and curriculum construction.In addition,themes such as cultural self-confidence and national consciousness have gradually emerged as emerging focal points of research.Combining the research results,the paper further discusses the shortcomings of ideological and political education in foreign language curriculum in terms of research content,research perspectives,research links,and research methods as well as proposes future research directions.
