Does science offer absolute objectivity,comprehensiveness,and logicality?This question runs through thousands of years of continuous human thinking.An inquiry into whether science is determinate not only involves the application value of science,but also further involves its cultural value and deeper human spiritual value.By exploring the history of scientific development,the history of philosophical development,and the three stages of scientific development since modern science times,this paper summarizes the historical development and current explorations on the determinate nature of science.The pursuit of wonder and the thirst for inner spirit of mankind reveal inexhaustible force for human learning of science and metaphysical thinking.Establishing a learning attitude that integrates scientific beliefs and humanistic spirits is the foundation for a sustainable exploration of the determinate nature of science.
