Research Status of Forestry Carbon Market and Proposals of Further Development
The formation of forest carbon market has experienced the voluntary action, test trading, lessons learned and the awareness strengthened, standard development in four stages.Since its formation, the domestic and foreign scholars have studied it.They find inadequate measurement system; the relevant rules of the market system and legal system,market information, lack of access to market information and high transaction cost hinder the development of China’s forest carbon market.This paper recommends we establish the mandatory policy controlling gas emission, establish a unified forest carbon sequestration standard, formulate appropriate laws regulations, strengthen the advocacy and research of forestry carbon theory and reduce the trading cost to promote the development of forest carbon market.
