Review on Impacts of Chinese Ecological Restoration Construction on Household Livelihoods
To curb environmental degradation,restore ecological environment and help farmers out of poverty in ecologically fragile areas,Chinese government invested a series of large-scale ecological restoration projects.Ecological restoration areas tend to have a fragile ecological environment and economic backwardness problems,so large-scale ecological restoration construction is bound to have an important impact on the regional household livelihoods.Based on a large number of relevant literature review,using sustainable household livelihood framework,the main research progress of impacts of ecological restoration on household livelihoods are overviewed from five aspects:Household livelihood capital,household livelihood strategies,household production/lifestyle and environmental awareness/behavioral of farmers.Besides,combined with the present situation of ecological restoration and household livelihoods,future ecological restoration and livelihood research which should be concerned are proposed.
