Research on the International Carbon Emission Trading Scheme and Its Implications to China
Climate change has gradually become a worldwide challenge since this century.The Paris Agreement,which came into effect on November 4th,2016,sets a goal:To control the global average temperature rise within 2 degrees Celsius.Chinese government has put forward that the comprehensive management of ecological environment is the current core mission,and sustainable development will become the new orientation.As a successful practice which attempts to solve environmental problems by economical means,carbon emission trading scheme has been widely accepted.Similarities and differences both exist in practices of different countries,so this passage uses comparative analysis to introduce details of the carbon trading system among European Union,the United States,New Zealand and South Korea.Research results of this passage can provide references for the carbon market establishment in China.
