Ecological Effects of Agricultural"Water-Energy-Food"System Synergy
Clarifying the ecological effects of the agricultural"water-energy-food"system synergy is of great significance for promoting green and low-carbon agricultural development. Therefore, based on the inter-provincial panel data from 2000 to 2021 in China,a bidirectional fixed effects model was used to investigate the impact of agricultural"water-energy-food"system synergy on the agricultural ecological environment. Then,a mediation effect model and a regulatory effect model were constructed to further clarify the mechanism action between the two.The research results show that:(1)The synergy of the agricultural"water-energy-food"system can significantly improve the quality of agricultural ecological environment, and the conclusion is still valid after a series of robustness tests.(2)Heterogeneity analysis shows that the ecological effect of the agricultural"water-energy-food"system synergy is more significant in the main grain producing areas and the central and western regions.(3)The mechanism test found that the synergy of the agricultural"water-energy-food"system mainly improves the quality of agricultural ecological environment through large-scale management and planting structure adjustment, and environmental regulations have a positive regulatory effect on the ecological effect of the agricultural"water-energy-food"system synergy.Based on this,it is necessary to establish a high-quality grain development mechanism with water resource conservation and intensive utilization as the core.Emphasize the important role of large-scale management and planting structure adjustment in improving the quality of agricultural ecological environment.Actively explore differentiated regional agricultural"water-energy-food"collaborative policies.Continuously improve agricultural environmental protection policies.
