Study on the Spatiotemporal Evolution Characteristics and Spillover Effects of Carbon Emission Efficiency in China's Livestock Industry
Carbon peaking and carbon neutrality are inherent requirements for achieving low-carbon development, and the carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry directly affects China's low-carbon development.Based on the data of 31 Provinces in China from 2000 to 2020,the EBM model is used to measure the carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry, and the spatial Durbin model is used to explore the spillover effect of carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry. The results indicate that:(1)The carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry in China is ranked from high to low in the eastern, central, western, and northeastern regions, with significant potential for emission reduction. The phenomenon of uneven development among regions is gradually intensifying.(2)Overall,there is a significant spatial positive correlation between carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry in China.(3)Industrial agglomeration, urbanization level, and cultural level of rural employees have a significant positive impact on the carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry, while economic development level and environmental regulation level have a significant negative impact. The level of financial support for agriculture and industrial structure have a significant negative externality impact on the carbon emission efficiency of animal husbandry.(4)Each region should optimize emission reduction and efficiency targets, strengthen regional exchanges and cooperation, fully utilize spillover effects, and achieve low-carbon development of animal husbandry.
