Impacts of human activities on landscape evolution of coastline and coastal zone in the Liaohe estuary
Coastline plays an important role in maintaining the stability of coastal ecosystem and regional biodiversity. We used Remote Sensing(RS)and Geographic Information System(GIS)to acquire the remote sensing data of coastline in Liaohe estuary from 1985 to 2017,and analyzed change of coastline length, coastline attributes and evolution characteristics of coastal landscape types. The results showed that:(1)From 1985 to 2017,Liaohe estuary coastline was silted up,coastline moved to the sea in general and its type changed from natural coastline to artificial coastline. The coastline length was reduced by 5.09 km,and the coastline shape was not changed obviously.Human activities was the main factor for coastline migration and transformation in Liaohe estuary.(2)Edge density of tidal flat in Liaohe Estuary decreased.Patch density of road increased by 0.15 and the lowest value was 0.01(1985).PLAND value of natural landscape decreased, while that of farmland increased gradually.Decreasing of AWMPFD value of anthropogenic landscape indicated that disturbance of human activities on coastal landscape in Liaohe Estuary was gradually becoming stronger.(3)From 1985 to 2017,area of Mudflat and river decreased, and area of breeding, town, reservoir, oil well, farmland and road all increased 7975.42 hm2 and its proportion was 11.37%.In 1994,two new shorelines of farmland and reservoir appeared, which were transformed from natural shorelines.
