Topographic distribution characteristic of vegetation coverage change trend in Sichuan Province based on MODIS-EVI from 2000 to 2020
Based on the MODIS-EVI from the Google Earth Engine, this article analyzed the topographic distribution characteristic of vegetation coverage change trend in Sichuan Province from 2000 to 2020,with the ArcGIS and Trend Analysis and Distribution Index. The results indicated that, the area of increased type of vegetation coverage accounted for 46.35%,which was mainly farm land and forest land. The area of decreased type of vegetation coverage accounted for 45.81%,which was mainly shrub and grassland. The area of unchanged type of vegetation coverage accounted for 7.84%,which was mainly construction land and alpine vegetation. The decreased type of vegetation coverage was mainly distributed in area where the elevation was below 500m and from 3000m to 4500m,and the slope was below 5°,and the aspect was flat, southern and southwest, and the landform was plain and terrace. The increased type of vegetation coverage was mainly distributed in area where the elevation was from 500m to 3000m,and the slope was from 5° to 15°,and the aspect was northeast, east and southeast, and the landform was hill, small undulating mountain and middle undulating mountain. The unchanged type of vegetation coverage was mainly distributed in area where the elevation was over 4500m,and the slope was over 15°,the aspect was north, west and northwest, and the landform was the large undulating mountain and extremely undulating mountain. The research results revealed the topographic distribution characteristic of change trend of vegetation coverage from a macro perspective in the past 20 years, which could provide some reference for the follow-up ecological vegetation restoration measure in Sichuan Province.
