Soil C,N,P and its ecological stoichiometry in farming-pastoral zone in arid region
In order to clarify the soil C,N,P and its ecological stoichiometric characteristics in the agro-pastoral ecotone in arid regions, grassland, shrub sand pile, farmland, forest land, abandoned farmland, fixed dune and mobile dune were selected as research objects. The contents of organic carbon(SOC),total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP)and the ecological stoichiometry characteristics of C,N and P in shallow soil were analyzed. The results showed as follows.(1)The average contents of SOC,TN and TP in the study area were 2.623g·kg-1,0.134g·kg-1,1.239g·kg-1,which were characterized by abandoned farmland>shrub coppice dune>farmland>grassland>forest land>fixed dune>mobile dune. The coefficient of variation of soil C/N was 48.95%,and the coefficient of variation of soil C/P and N/P were 110.54%and 115.47%,respectively.(2)In the study area, soil nutrients in forest land, shrub coppice dune, grassland and farmland were significantly higher than those in fixed and mobile dunes, and SOC and TN contents in forest land and shrub coppice dunee showed a decreasing trend with the increase of soil depth. There was no significant difference between soil C/N and C/P,but significant difference between soil N/P.(3)SOC and TN were positively correlated with C/P and N/P,while soil P was not significantly correlated with C/N,C/P and N/P.Different land use types had significant effects on soil C,N,P contents and ecological stoichiometry,as well as on the vertical distribution of soil nutrients and stoichiometry.SOC content was closely related to TN content, and soil ecological stoichiometry was mainly affected by SOC and TN.The results can provide important theoretical basis for desertification combating and farmland wind erosion control in agro-pastoral ecotone in arid regions.
