Spatial-Temporal Variations of Water Resources in Xinyang City
Linear regression, moving T test,Mann-Kendall test and Morlet wavelet analysis were used to analyze the trend,muta-bility and periodicity of precipitation, surface water, groundwater and total water resources in Xinyang City during 1956-2020.The results show that:(1)the precipitation, groundwater, surface water and water resources show insignificant decreasing trends in Xin-yang City during 1956-2020,but the mutations and periodicity are different. The mutation point of precipitation occurred in 1970 and 2017,and the mutation point of total surface water and water resources occurred in 2014.The dominant periods of the above three are 9a and 23a.There was no significant mutation in groundwater,of which the dominant period was 15-16a.(2)The wet period for surface water is expected to last until about 2028,while the dry period of groundwater is expected to last until 2024,followed by a wet period of about eight years.(3)The spatial distribution of precipitation decreases from south to north. The total water resources and surface water resources increase from west to east, while the groundwater resources increase from south to north.(4)Surface water and total water resources are significantly affected by precipitation, while the correlation coefficient be-tween groundwater and precipitation is the least. The analysis shows that the groundwater resources are stable in the study area. The results could provide references for rational allocation and sustainable utilization of water resources in Xinyang.
