Bioinformatics analysis of xylogen-like protein gene family in potato
[Objective]Identification members of the xylogen-like protein(XYLP)gene family in potato at the genome level.Prediction and fully analyzed the physicochemical properties and gene expression patterns of StXYLPs.[Method]Identification and analysis of physicochemical properties, subcellular localization, evolutionary relationship, protein structure, gene structure, and chromosome location of StXYLPs were conducted by bioinformatics methods.Microarray chip was used to analyze the spatio-temporal expression pattern of StXYLPs and the its response to the abiotic stress treatments.[Result]A total of 20 StXYLPs were identified in the potato genome;the full length of the protein was between 139 and 221 amino acids, the theoretical isoe-lectric point was between 4.36 and 9.42,and they were all anchored on the plasma membrane;the structures of StXYLPs are generally similar, and all have the conserved nsLTP domain;StXYLPs have some preference on the chromosome location;ex-pression patterns of StXYLPs are different and genes response much differently to the abiotic stress treatments.[Conclusion]During the organogenesis of potato, expression level of 19 StXYLPs were regulated by hormones and interacted with auxin,cyto-kinin and gibberellin.12 StXYLPs were upregulated by ABA treatment, when plants exposure to the abiotic stresses, such as salt, heat and drought, expression level of 14 StXYLPs were upregulated, thus enhanced plants abiotic stress tolerance.
