Research progress on relationship between FGFs and diabetic nephropathy, chronic kidney disease
Diabetic nephropathy(DKD)and chronic kidney disease(CKD)are important causes of end-stage renal disease and have become a global public health problem, but their pathogenesis is still unclear and there is no effective clinical treat-ment.Fibroblast growth factor(FGF)is a signal regulatory protein, and recent studies have found that its family members,espe-cially FGF1,FGF21,FGF23,are closely related to the occurrence and development of diabetic nephropathy and chronic kidney disease. This paper summarizes the clinical and experimental progress of the correlation between FGFs and DKD and CKD in order to early detection of DKD and CKD,Early intervention and improve patient prognosis to provide new ideas.
