Ubiquitination is an important epigenetic modification in all eukaryotic organisms, and the RNF183 protein family is a class of ubiquitin ligases that play an important role in ubiquitination mediating the development of different tumor types. This article focuses on the types, structures and functions of RNF183 protein family,as well as the mechanisms of their regulatory roles in different types of tumors and the latest research progress, which will provide new directions and theoretical basis for the development of tumor diagnostic markers and therapeutic drug development.
