Taking the unit of"Biology and Environment"in the eighth-grade biology textbook of Jinan as an example,this article suggests aligning the general concepts,major concepts,and academic requirements to determine the topic of the unit based on an analysis of the requirements of the new curriculum standards.Through the analysis of curriculum standards,textbooks,and learning situations,teachers can determine the learning objectives of the unit,design learning activities in stages,and use explicit assessments to learn about students'acquisition.Embedded assessments can guide students to continue learning efficiently and achieve common improvement in teaching and learning.
