Teaching reflections on the"Cultivation of Evidence Awareness"induced by cause analysis questions in the high school entrance examination
Evidence awareness is an important competency in scientific thinking in biology.Taking the high school entrance examination questions in 2023 in Fujian province as an example, this paper analyzed the responses of students to cause analysis questions and found that students tended to focus more on the knowledge points used to solve problems rather than on the search for and exploration of evidence in problem-solving.Teachers could fundamentally enhance students'evidence and logical reasoning skills through teaching strategies that emphasize evidence-based and phenomenon-based experimental teaching,"evaluation and discussion of examination questions",and"problem-solving".
