This paper provided an in-depth analysis of a contextualized exam question from the 2023 junior high school biology academic level examination in a city in Hubei Province based on the requirements of the"Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)"and evaluated the question's contextual value,focus,effectiveness,and appropriateness.It aimed to provide reference for frontline teachers in question design and teaching.
