The development of"cute"elements in Chinese youth films shows a change process of localization.In this develop-ment,its manifestations can be summarized as the hard implantation of"cute"element,the internalization of"cute"element and the localization of"cute"element.Young university students,as an important appreciation group of the two dimensional culture repre-sented by"cute"element and youth movies,the combination of the two brings positive aesthetic value to university students.As the same time,there is also a negative impact.The positive and negative influences of"cute"element in youth film on university stu-dents'aesthetic education should be viewed critically.While taking seriously the aesthetic education impact of this cultural phenom-enon,there is no need to be overly anxious about its negative effects.Under the all-round and multi-channel aesthetic education,"cute"culture can hardly influence the aesthetic cognition of contemporary university students by itself only.
