The Mirror World of Ethnic Blending and Development:Pingcheng Era of Northern Wei Dynasty
The period of Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties is a historical stage in China's history of national integra-tion,economic and cultural unprecedented development. The establishment of the Northern Wei regime resulted in increasing simi-larities between ethnic minorities and the Han nationality, which led to the gradual development of Sinicization of some ethnic mi-norities closely related to the Han nationality.Later, the Sinicization reform carried out by the Northern Wei Dynasty, which was the partial unification of North China,to Emperor Xiaowen took a big step to promote the integration of different ethnic groups. The eth-nic regimes crossed the boundaries of agriculture and animal husbandry, and the diversified life mode made the communication be-tween different ethnic groups more frequent and direct. It is concluded that the Northern Wei Dynasty has been working hard on na-tional integration and cultural exchange and dialogue in its Pingcheng period. The general conclusion is that while the Northern Wei accelerated the development of its own feudal system, the social economy of various tribes from northern China who moved into the mainland was deeply affected by the Han economy and developed rapidly, and different ethnic groups in the northern Xinjiang grad-ually formed a common economic system in the process of promoting feudalization and Sinicization.
