On the"Qudi(衢地)"in Hebei During the Period of Competition Between Later Liang and Jin
During the period of competition between Later Liang and Jin,Hebei Fangzhen gradually lost its political autonomy,to varying degrees,involved in the struggle between the Liang and Jin camps.However,Hebei Fangzhen still had strong political and military strength,controled the main transportation routes from Hebei to Hedong,becoming"Qudi(衢地)"that affects the bal-ance of power between the Liang and Jin dynasties,directly related to the winning and losing trends of the two camps.In the early stages,Zhu Wen used both military deterrence and political persuasion to successfully bring Fangzhen such as Weibo,Chengde,and Yiwu into the Liang army camp,dominating the competition for"Qudi(衢地)"in Hebei.In the later stage,Zhuliang adopted more military deterrence towards Fangzhen in Hebei,attempting to achieve substantial control over Fangzhen such as Chengde and Yiwu.This high-pressure measure was resisted by Fangzhen in Hebei,causing the Later Liang to lose control of the"Qudi"in Hebei and gradually fall behind in the competition between Liang and Jin.
