Re-examining the"Jian'an Qizi"and Their Literary Creation Based on the Qi Theory
Expounding articles by Qi is the most distinctive theory in the history of Chinese ancient literary criticism.It is de-rived from the ancient Qi theory speculative tradition and knowledge pedigree and is born out of the Qi philosophy category in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasties.Playing the key role among them is Dian lun-Lun wen of Cao Pi and the proposal of"Wen Qi Theory".Cao Pi described the literary features of"Qizi"in a highly summarized expression in the Dian lun-Lun wen.Among them,it's partic-ularly noteworthy that Qi was used to discuss their writings.Taking Dian lun-Lun wen as the source,combined with the comments of critics of the past dynasties and the actual creation of"Qizi",it is found that Qi of the seven people's writings is not only different from each other—presenting different"author's Qi"and"textual Qi",but also shows its own brilliance,which is closely related to its family background,academic origins,personality and temperament.Coupled with the influence of the political pattern,the trend of the times,and personal circumstances,Qi of"Qizi"share the same characteristic—full of generosity.
