Research on Women's Liberation in Chinese Films in the Late 1940s
In the domestic films of the late 1940s,a large number of women's liberation issues were presented as a prominent feature of the domestic films of this period.A number of films showing the conflict between women's real life circumstances and their life ideals were released successively,which attracted wide attention at that time.This kind of films discussed the issues of women's social status,women's family responsibilities and professional women's independence from different angles.The discus-sion around this kind of films also went far beyond the content and ideas shown in the films themselves.The wide range and deep level of the discussion constituted an important phenomenon in the development of domestic films in the late 1940s.
