The Pronunciation of the Affix"Ge"in Jinnan Dialect
There are significant differences in the pronunciation of the affix"ge"in Jinnan dialect.According to the different vowels,the pronunciation of"ge"in Jinnan dialect can be divided into five types:əʔ reading type,ɯreading type,əreading type,ɤ reading type and i reading type.The distribution range of əʔ reading type overlaps with the Jin dialect area in southern Shanxi.The relationship betweenɯreading type and i reading type is relatively close,and i reading type is the result of further development ofɯreading type.Theəreading type and ɤ reading style has taken a different development path,which may be related to the influence of Mandarin.Dialects with the same pronunciation type also have a relatively consistent tone category for the character"ge".From a tonal perspective,the"ge"in ɯ reading type and i reading type dialects often evolves along with the full voiced initial entering sound character,andəreading type and ɤ reading type dialects are synchronized with the entering sound characters of the clear ini-tial consonant and the second voiced initial consonant.
