Planning and Flexibility:Qian Zhiguang and the Construction of Textile Industry
On the eve of the founding of the People's Republic of China,Qian Zhiguang went to Shanghai with the Central Fi-nancial and Economic Commission for research,which marked the beginning of his participation in the construction of the textile in-dustry.From the establishment of the People's Republic of China until 1981,he planned a series of strategic decisions to promote the construction of the textile industry:in terms of textile raw materials,he developed natural fibers and increased chemical fibers.On the issue of textile machinery and equipment,it is proposed to take the path of arming oneself.In terms of textile talent and tech-nology,we respect the opinions of textile experts and focus on the research and development of textile military products.In terms of textile foreign trade,the development policy of catering to international market demand for textile products is proposed.Qian Zhi-guang has been in charge of China's textile industry for over 30 years,seeking flexibility in his plans and promoting the basic forma-tion of China's modern textile industry strategic system.
