Xianbei Literature During the Northern Wei,Eastern Wei,and Northern Qi Dynasties
Xianbei literature was an important component of Northern Dynasty literature,with folk songs,military songs,poet-ry,and epics as its literary styles,forming a prosperous trend of Xianbei literature in the early Northern Wei Dynasty.Due to the so-cial division caused by the Northern Wei Dynasty transformation,Xianbei literature fell into a valley of literature extinction.With the uprising of the central court army in Luoyang Xianbei and the outbreak of the North Town People's Uprising,Xianbei literature once again entered the literary stage of the Northern Dynasty,forming a literary trend that focused on the military journey,the life of the Xianbei ethnic group,and the scenery of the Northern Kingdom.With the establishment of the Gaoqi regime,Xianbei literature once again flourished,and through the strategies of driving Han literary scholars,the simple,masculine,and grand style of Xianbei literature,as well as the robust,lofty,and vigorous artistic conception,were infused into the development of literature in the Central Plains,profoundly affecting the development of literature in the Northern Dynasty.
