Efficacy test and toxicity determination of several kinds of pesticides against a species of Spider mites of Schwiebea similis(Acari:Acaridae)
In order to explore the control effect of several common insecticidal(mite)agents in agricul-tural production on the Spider mites of Panax quinquefollium L named Schwiebea similis Manson,two kinds of gastric poison method and slide dipping method,and 13 kinds of pesticides were used to test the indoor effica-cy of P.mite,then 8 kinds were selected for laboratory toxicity determination.The virulence test results of 8 agents and 5 concentration gradients showed that,the virulence of each agent was higher in slide immersion method than that in gastric poisoning method,and the relative toxicity multiples were 1.05 to 1.36 times,it can be seen that the specific dilution ratio of propargite was the best,the fastest lethal time LT50 was 0.71 d;each dilution effect of matrine was the least effective,and the fastest lethal time was 600 times the dilution concentration.LT50 was 1.61 d.Based on the results of laboratory virulence test of the two bioassay methods and the characteristics of low toxicity,low residue and high efficacy of insecticides,it is recommended to mainly use propargite,abamectin,spirodiclofen,lmidacloprid and etoxazole in the control of the mite.
