Functional role of RBP4 in liver hepatocellular carcinoma based on bioinformatics analysis
To investigate the function of retinol-binding protein 4(RBP4)in liver hepatocellular carci-noma(LIHC).The study firstly analyzed the structure and physicochemical properties of RBP4.Secondly,RBP4 expression profile was compared between normal tissue and LIHC based on the database. And then, the relationship between RBP4 expression levels and clinical survival prognosis of LIHC patients was shown. The results show that RBP4 has an isoelectric point(pI)of 5.76,and its β-barrel core is the binding center of retinol, which is highly hydrophilic and has a signal peptide. The expression of RBP4 is higher in normal liver tissues than in LIHC,and the higher expression of RBP4 has better prognostic survival(log rank P<0.001).The expression of RBP4 may alleviate the progression of LIHC and may also be used as one of the potential bi-omarkers for clinical diagnosis and prognosis of LIHC.
