Characteristics,Source Analysis and Ecological Risk Assessment of Heavy Metal Pollution in Surface Soil Around Industrial Parks:a Case Study of a Venous Industrial Park in Nanjing
This study collected surface soil samples within 2 600 m around a venous industrial park in Nanjing in 2022,detected and analyzed the content levels of eight heavy metals Cu,Zn,As,Pb,Mn,Cr,Ni and Cd in the soil, and studied their spatial distribution characteristics, sources, pollution status and ecological risks, the results show that:(1)The contents of 8 heavy metals ranged from 0.093~571.88 mg/kg.Except for heavy metal Cd and Ni,the average contents of the other 6 elements were higher than the background values in Nanjing, and the contents of Zn,As and Cd in some points were higher than the risk screening values of agricultural land soil.(2)The spatial distribution characteristics of the eight heavy metal elements are all related to the flue gas emission activities in the industrial park and the local dominant wind direction. All the eight heavy metals may be affected by the natural soil-forming process and flue gas emission activities in the industrial park.In addition,Pb and Zn are also jointly affected by agricultural activities and traffic pollution.(3)In general, within 2 600 m of the industrial park,Pb and As are moderately polluted, the other six heavy metal elements are mainly in the state of light pollution or below.(4)93.3% of the soil sites are moderately polluted or above.Pb and As are the main factors causing soil pollution.(5)The average value of the comprehensive potential ecological risk index of heavy metals in the soil around the industrial park is 73.32,showing a slight ecological risk on the whole.Only a few points of soil pollution of As and Cd are at the medium ecological risk level.
